This year all four children are on different schedules back
to school. When I first received the
schedules sometime during the summer I had to come to terms with the change of
having “3” first days this year. It
actually isn’t that bad when I look at the BIG picture. Each child gets to have a brighter light
shine on him or her individually-- we even started a new tradition with the
highlighted child getting to pick the back to school dinner. Last week it was tacos, this week homemade
pizza. I can’t wait to find out what my
little girls decide.
Fall comes around each year with the expectations on
high. Another opportunity for kids to
excel, create lasting memories, and try new things. Each year my prayer for them is the same. My
prayer is that my children make wise choices, choose positive friends, be the
best, be kind, and be thoughtful. I pray that they love and appreciate learning,
and that they are confident but not arrogant.
Each year as they get older, I realize that my time with them is
shorter. I often wonder if I will have
enough time to share with them all the things I need to teach them. I pray that they are listening and that
through all my teachings I pray that they know how much I love them, and that
my love transcends above all things.
Sunday’s message was
giving God giant prayers for him to answer and big faith to believe that HE
will answer them. As I sat in my quiet
place Monday morning thinking of the Giant prayers, I am reminded that we all
need to be renewed and revived. It is in
this season that we must recommit ourselves after summer vacations and family
gatherings.
My Giant prayers start with my family. I pray that God uses all us to glorify His
Kingdom work. I pray that all the trials
that my husband and I face, are just the training that is required for what our
REAL purpose is as a married couple. I
am confident that all we have been through is simply preparing us for our
breakthrough.
“With God, All things are possible”---Matthew 19:26.
As I sit and patiently wait for my prayers to be answered, I
will continue to do what I am called to do.
I will use my gifts to Build HIS KINGDOM. Love. Write. Teach. Inspire. Sing. Love more.
Write more. Teach more. Inspire more. Sing more.
Becoming More…
